Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 9 October 2026

BookingOven helps customers discover vendors and request appointments. These Terms explain the responsibilities of customers, vendors and BookingOven.

1. Using BookingOven

By creating an account or submitting a booking request, you agree to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a booking. Provide accurate information, keep your account credentials secure and only book on someone else’s behalf with their permission.

2. Our role

BookingOven connects customers with independent vendors. Vendors provide the services listed on the platform and are responsible for their staff, service quality, safety and any required licences or qualifications.

A vendor’s presence on BookingOven does not guarantee the quality of its services.

3. Booking requests

Submitting a booking request does not confirm an appointment. Your booking is confirmed only when the vendor accepts it.

Review the service, price, date, time and vendor conditions before submitting your request. An unanswered request must not be treated as accepted.

Displayed availability may change. Check your booking status and booking updates before attending.

4. Prices and payments

During the current free MVP, BookingOven does not charge customer booking fees or vendor subscription fees and does not collect online payments.

Service prices are provided by vendors. Any service payment is arranged directly between the customer and the vendor.

Vendors must disclose applicable charges before booking and obtain the customer’s agreement before changing an agreed price or providing chargeable additional services.

Any future BookingOven fees will be communicated before they apply.

5. Cancellations, changes and refunds

If you need to cancel or change an appointment, use the available platform function or contact the vendor promptly. Changes depend on vendor availability and acceptance.

Vendors must promptly inform customers if they cannot honour an accepted booking. Alternative arrangements require the customer’s agreement.

Any vendor cancellation, lateness or no-show conditions must be disclosed before booking. Refunds for payments made directly to vendors are handled by those vendors, subject to applicable consumer rights.

6. Customer responsibilities

Customers must:

  • Provide accurate contact and booking details.
  • Attend confirmed appointments on time or give timely cancellation notice.
  • Treat vendors and their staff respectfully.
  • Avoid false, fraudulent or deliberately conflicting bookings.
  • Use the platform lawfully and avoid interfering with its operation.

7. Vendor responsibilities

Vendors must:

  • Keep listings, prices, services and availability accurate.
  • Review requests promptly and avoid accepting conflicting appointments.
  • Honour confirmed bookings or promptly communicate cancellations.
  • Hold the licences, qualifications and permissions required for their services.
  • Handle service complaints, direct payments and refunds responsibly.
  • Protect customer information and use it only for appropriate booking and service purposes.
  • Have permission to use any images, logos or other content they upload.

Vendors retain ownership of their content and allow BookingOven to display it to operate and promote their listings.

8. Notifications and availability

BookingOven sends booking updates through the channels supported by the platform. Customers and vendors are responsible for keeping their contact details accurate and checking updates.

Notifications may be delayed or fail. If your booking status is unclear, contact the vendor or BookingOven before relying on the appointment.

Maintenance or technical problems may temporarily interrupt website access.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how BookingOven collects, uses and shares personal information.

10. Responsibility and account restrictions

Vendors are responsible for the services they deliver. BookingOven remains responsible for its own conduct and obligations under applicable law.

To the extent permitted by law, BookingOven is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses arising from platform use. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

We may restrict accounts or remove listings where reasonably necessary to address fraud, misuse, safety concerns or breaches of these Terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the action and provide an opportunity to respond.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as BookingOven develops. The latest version and updated date will appear on this page. We will provide notice of material changes and obtain fresh acceptance where required.

These Terms are governed by Sri Lankan law, without limiting any mandatory rights available to you.

For service-related concerns, contact the vendor. For questions about BookingOven or these Terms, please use our Contact Us page.
